Just looking for any ideas on improvements , the only thing applied was b/w conversion then sepia, this image works for me but am open to any critiques.I am very new to photoshop and always learning something new about photography.

Quite a nice shot. Sharp eyes and a good mood.
Things to improve the shot might be not to have cropped out the hands, and to remove or clone out the distractions on the wall behind the boy (especially where the distracting element meets the boy's head)
Hope that helps

i would suggest cropping the right and top, in order ot move the eyes northeast in the frame.
thanks for the input, by the way just started to podcast, great info
i'd also see if I could increase the exposure, so that the whites of the eyes were more, well, white. the background doesn't distract me that much, but the right dark area does. that's just how I see things, though.
