This is a discussion on Frosty tree in churchyard within the Critiques forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; Since we are so overwhelmed with winter here this year:...
I very much like the colours, exposure and the overall beauty of the shot. Nice house too!
I just wish that the background was not the house but rather a beautiful forest or field. We take what we can get though - Nice capture.
IMO the colour shot is much more striking.

"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
I agree - the colour shot is really nice, a nice feel and contrast between the colours.
The B/W one doesn't work for me...
The trees were beautifully frosty but the skies were overcast and dull so I tried to find something to use as a background that was not too distracting. It was cold out too...brrrr. It is a beautiful neo gothic church that I would like to photograph some more on the grand staircase side with its windows lit up at night but I think that will wait.
