It's lateish (Latvian word with some roots in Ukrainian) and I'm getting restless so I decide to speriment with a kit lens and the D300s. The lens is an 18-55 3.5 to blah DX that doesn't seem to get much good press. The camera is the D300s dialed in to 1250 ISO. The light source (other than the ambient LCD glow) is a 20W bulb six feet back and a tad to the left. Camera set at 1/40th, f 3.5. I thought the final result was cool enough to post in the "Critique" section. There was some "rescue" processing applied but even so, It's still sorta funky for stupid low light
