I'm finding the large OoF area image right too distracting. I think this might have worked better had you aimed more toward the other side of the tunnel rather than directly out the exit. I don't mean directly across, but sort of a long, oblique angle in which the other side of the tunnel filled most of the frame. Nice idea though.
Ah interesting. Yes, I see your point, basically the same shot by angled left a bit more, so there's less of the close wall (and therefore less of the blurred stuff) and following the otherside of the wall lower down.
Seeing as the texture is of interest here, wasting the near wall by making it out of focus is perhaps missing the opportunity of highlighting the texture off the wall.
