    Default The call

I was walking around Seattle, Washington this week and I happened to notice this contrast in light and shadow. I posted earlier this month and received invaluable feedback which I thank everyone for. I appreciate any feedback.

I was thinking about dodging the stairs and doing a minor crop on the right hand side of the picture to tighten up the composition, any thoughts?

    Thank you,

I like the idea, but as-is the image doesn't work for me. I'd like to see everything to the right of the stairs cropped, mainly to get rid of the angled shadow line which I find very distracting, and some lightening of the dark area. The high-contrast idea is a good one, but the shadow is just too deep to pick out any detail.

I really like the Idea. I think that you may want to do a tighter crop to get rid of some of the shadow and would also do a level adjustment to bring in some of the detail in the shadows. You may also want to do a curve adjustment to brighten the arches or perhaps do some dodging to create more of a contrast.
That is my amateur take on it.
    Cheers!!
