    hmm, interesting subject and good choice in going b&W. For me, I find the subject too close to the edge and you cut off the top

    I agree with Bambi - the left crop bothers me more than the top crop though.

    Thanks for your feedback. The crops cut out a lot of what I felt was extraneous detail and I was headed for a slightly abstract road... I thought maybe the shadow was strong enough to act as a balance. I was curious to see if anyone felt the crops were unsettling. I also feel that, of the two, the left is more bothersome.
