I'd like #1 with the yellow area at the bottom cropped. #2 has too many blown highlights for my taste, but seems a nice enough composition.
thanks for the feedback. For the first one, i cropped the bottome but it kinda looked weird to me :S so I left it as is.
Just a few comments, the first photo looks soft. Maybe its just me. The Second shot your point of interest in not clear, and I think your slightly overexposed, the tower is blown out in the middle area, santa is soft, and the area behind the trees at the lower left hand corner is also somewhat blown out. Nice attempts, what were these shot at? I do like the light off to the right that looks like the star of that led the 3 wisemen.

Thank you for the comments Hahah, to be honest, I wasn't even paying attention to the trees; I really wanted the blue of the pyramid to show up well, was oblivious to everything else (something I really need to fix).
The first photo- exposure: 1.3 sec f/3.5 ISO 100
The second- exposure: 2sec, everything else the same.
I like the first shot, but I noticed a significant amount of noise (grain) at the bottom. If possible, run it through a noise reduction program after corrections are done. I run Noise Ninja and it does a fairly decent job at reducing the amount of noise visible in the final stages.
