Shot 1 is somewhat interesting to my eye but overall I must confess to not understanding the intent here.

Shot 1 really catches my eye too but I think it's because it reminds me of the Simpsons cartoon. The sky and clouds seem to share the same colour scheme. If I follow your lead you are showing soft flowers against hard stone? I love the colours of both shots. Definitely interesting work.
