Cumhachtstáisiún an Phoill Bhig-Poolbeg power station, a little help needed

Hi Everyone, i am looking for a bit of feedback on this one. This power station is near an area where i end up shooting a lot and I usually take a couple of shots of it on each revisit. What can I do to improve this composition. Do you find it interesting or shouls I just move on.

Photo #1: I like how the 2 chimneys are place 1/3 of the way from the left. Nice sunset colours too!
Perhaps I would try to find a foreground object, or go closer to the water to catch some of the detail of the ripples.

Photo #2: Similar kind of thing - maybe go closer to the ground to catch some of the detail of the rocks on the shore. (maybe you are already very near the ground when you shot these??)

The first shot is the best of the three as I find the sky more interesting in that shot and I prefer the colour in that shot as well. I have found there are very few times when the horizon should be located at the centre of the image and this subject doesn't feel like one of those times. Being on Bull Rd. or Clontarf Rd. puts you around 2 to 2.5 KM away from the towers so you might want to try a zoom lens to get in closer and make it feel like more of the subject. Right now it's not prominent enough in my view to make it the main subject of the image.

If you are really keen to get a closer shot you may have to pick a different location. Maybe Terminal Rd. South to get in nice and close. The problem with a distance shot like what you have is that the moisture in the air can affect the sharpness of the image. You have to have a very clear, dry day to get a nice sharp image.

I really like the second one and if it were me, This is what I would do. I would make it more of a Pano crop by removing a good chunk of the bottom. Next I would up the saturation a bit to bring out the sky colour and maybe increase the clarity to bring out the cloud detail.
Just my 2 cents....hope it was useful.

I find these shots too far away. Biggest piece of advice.... get way closer if possible.

Imo, there is not much that is interesting in the midground or foreground except for the reflections in shot 2.
I really like casil's idea of a pano crop in shot 2. That might help here.
