I like the lighting and the shadows. My first thought was it breaks the rules by being in the centre, but with the shadows this works. Mind you the subject (lighthouse) is on the top third line.

I agree with this. I also want a bit more punch and perhaps a different crop (perhaps vetical)

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.

It works for me. I'd maybe try to ramp up the contrast and then convert to B&W. Or, maybe leave as colour but saturate the sky more.

Doesn't work so well for me I'm afraid. Nice sky (esp the colour) and shadows, interesting lighthouse, but there is too much empty foreground for my taste.

I don't see empty foreground ... I see shadows, patterns, textures, leading lines, and space to run or throw a ball

Hmmm.. Well, really, at this point it's kind of a matter of taste. Sure you could crop it a little differently and sure you could adjust the levels a bit to give it a different feeling but when I take it in the context of all your other work it fits in perfectly. The message to me is loud and clear and I suggest that it's your vision at this point and if you think the shot is good then that's all that matters. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing.

    Cheers!
