You have lovely images but they're all so bleak... it makes me feel so alone!
I like it, but your other one is much better ....

a bit too much negative space for me in this one.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
I don't mind the negative space. It's refreshing. I would, however, crop a bit off the bottom. It's not really doing anything to add to the shot, IMO.
I really like this image overall but I agree, too much space at the bottom big time.
If it were mine, I'd surely try cropping out the bottom 50% of the image and imo that crop would make the image much much stronger - sometimes less is way more.
Since you are okay w/editing - Here's the suggested crop (close to 50% cropped off bottom - about 10% chopped off left side)
Obviously this is just my take on your shot so please feel 100% free to disagree.
Hope that helps - Marko

I'm not sure I agree with the others about the negative space at the bottom. I think it adds a sense of isolation. My only comment is the same as I said on the other shot of these poles ... I find them a bit too dark for the rest of the tonal range throughout the shot.
Thanks to all for taking the time to look and comment.

I love the photo. I love black and white long exposures, they can be absolutely breathtaking.
One suggestion I have instead of cropping your images (since then you're automatically losing quality) is next time you take a shot of a subject that's surrounded by water and sky is think about which is more important; more water? or more sky? In this case, if you focused more on the sky I think it would have created a stronger shot especially since the subject creates a nice repitition.
Very nice image. Marko's crop does look better. Not sure about the horizon line though. It looks a bit wonky to me.
