Default Another before and after image

Here's another modeling shot. The before is the RAW image right out of the camera and the after is PP in Lightroom 2 and then into Photoshop CS. What do you think?

Maybe found a background which didn't feature a chain-link fence?

Personally, I can't get over how the light changes from the original to the PP. I really need to get lightroom I think

Question - what did you do to get image 2 'larger' ?

The proportions of the model are different in the 2 shots. The model looks bigger and takes up more room in the the retouched shot.

How did you do this and why?
    Just curious?

    thx

Looks to me like the second image is cropped a little (left side and bottom side), but resized to the same dimensions for web output, so the subject is bigger in the frame...

    yes..... and ... no...

viewing an A/B with a raw image is a bit misleading because the raw file.. is... well raw... in does not include the colour profile and/or in camera settings...

any post processing on a RAW image will make it look better...

this is not to take away any of PP skills of malechi.... he/she has done a fine job here...

I am only mentioning this because the Raw image on the left is in no way finalized for viewing... IMO a more accurate comparison would be to use a camera created JPG vs a finalized RAW..

having said that LR2 is a great program.... the local brush skin smoothing is a wonderful tool.... you can also locally dodge/burn using data from the image in lieu of a lossy dodge/burn tool...

    it's also very fast...

    good job malechi!!

my question is what part of processing required you to go outside LR2?
