Default Some of my favourite shots

Hey all, here's a couple shots I've done over the past couple days. I've only had the camera for about 2 months now and am still learning the do's and don'ts. Any info, comments/criticism is appreciated!

The first 3 are sunsets on the Bay of Quinte in Belleville Ontario, 4th one is a group of geese on the Moira River, and the last one is a fallen tree branch in the Bay of Quinte.

These shots are quite nice and I like them. Both sunset shots are nice but sunset 2 ia a better shot. The shots of the tree limb and the geese are a bit too 'far' in my opinion. A diiferent lens and a different angle could make these shots much stronger.

The shot of the bay is especially calm and beautiful with nice exposure. It is my favorite shot of the series. Next fave is sunset 2.

    HOpe that helps. Gibbon

Hey Rob, I really like these shots.

In my very humble opinion, your Bay of Quinte Sunset photo is very nice. I like the colors very much. I think it could possibly benefit from having part of the shore as the foreground, maybe positioning your tripod about a foot off the ground and getting some of the rocks or sand or whatever.

I know this isn't always possible because there is some ugly shoreline that doesn't make for very interesting photos, but that's my two bits.

Thanks for the comments, I'm going to be looking for some more locations to get better shots from. The sunset shots I've taken so far are mostly from the boulders piled up on the waterfront. It's hard to get a spot that the tripod will sit on without some of the boulders moving and ruining the shots.

I'm going to head back out again tomorrow evening and see what I can get for better sunset shots, and I'll be sure to post the results if anything good comes of it.

I've updated my photos online again, if anyone wants to have a peek, they can be found at : http://www.flickr.com/photos/rsdreamphotos/

I've started doing some panoramic shots, love taking them and processing them afterwards.

Did you delete them all? When I click on the links I get sent to Flickr where a message says the photos are deleted.
