    Default Spring has Sprung

Hi I am a long time lurker and have finally built up the courage to post something. I have found the site and podcast incredibly useful and I learn a little every time I visit.
My plan is to post some photos in the hope of getting pointers as to what I may be doing wrong or if a picture works at all.....

    Thanks.

weclome to ph.ca! You will get loads of helpful advice from the talented photographers here! I know I have benefited greatly!

I love the composition of this photo- the simple colours and the location of the daisy and the bokeh. My only nit is that I would like the flower centre to be more in focus and it seems to have missed by just a hair. But it's hard to tell on this size photo.

Welcome to the forum; from Dublin, nonetheless. Sure you can brag about SPRING! Here in Calgary, Alberta, we just had a dump of 20cm of snow, April 2. Go figure. I like your shot, very nice depth of field, great bokeh and nice greens ... but that is what Ireland is famous for, anyway. So I expect more green images, and maybe a still life of my all time favorite beverage: Powers ....

Thanks for the reply's, Bambi I think you may be right about the focus point, the lens I was using is very unforgiving at this sort of thing I get a very thin focal plane with it. I will take it on board.
Matt k my sympathies for the snow, we had one of our worst winters ever last year with an accumulation of between 5-10cm of snow in some areas. we closed schools, roads and factories. We can cope with rain but sun or snow we close the country!!!
