Hi folks -- Because of the mountians we rarely get spectacular sunsets in Calgary. This week we had a chinook which gave us a warm day and fabulous colour. The reflections in the water was taken from the top of a tall river bank. I tried to get the clouds and the water but the clouds were blown out and the trees where too dark. I cropped it down to this view and adjusted the contrast and saturation of the water first then the shore and trees after. I have seen some paintings with this effect but I can't recall the artists name.
The shot of the tree was warmed and the saturation increased slightly then some distracting water reflections removed from the fore ground.
Any thoughts or suggestions will be welcome.
Thanks
EJC
