I hope I am not breaking any rules by posting this composite here for comments. I was not excited about the sunset pic so I played with it in photoshop.

nope, no rules about creativity! I like this effect. But I find with the layering, the focal point (boat and sunset) are too dull in colours/tones. I would like to see them pop a bit more.
