Default Unknown Structure - Capture Suggestions

I have no idea what this structure is. However, the texture in the stone and the shape of the windows really caught my attention. I not really happy with these pictures.

Any suggestions how I might have captured this better and what processing I should try. I would like to go back and try this again. Note: This may be after the snow is gone. After the weather we are expecting this week, there might not be much snow left.

For me it's not what you've included in the photos that detract ... but what you failed to exclude ... if that makes sense ... which, if you really think about it ... it doesn't

What I'm saying though is the rock work and structure in itself is great but in the 1st shot you have an iron gate that doesn't fit well and in the 3rd shot you have a backpack slung around half a persons back. Both are glaringly obvious to me ... and to you now I bet too.

The other thing is the rio rods in the windows really ruin it too. Other than recomposing to lose those or removal in post there's not a alot you can do I guess.

In the 2nd shot those rio rods are almost a main subject themselves. This 2nd shot is also a bit out of focus.

Going back to the 1st shot, I think cropping in so the trees were less obvious or even right to the roof of the structure itself so no trees etc are showing would help tremendously. Just scrolling that photo up so my browser cuts off the top shows me that is true for my eyes/taste at least. The same goes for the 3rd shot as well. The rio rods would be easy to remove in post in that 3rd shot as well.
