    Default Combine at Dusk

I took this picture while dumping trucks during harvest this year. I was really struck by the silhouette of the combine against the sunset. I struggled with whether or not to centre the combine horizontally. I didn't want to cut off the dust blowing out of the back of the machine, and I didn't want to cut off the space for the combine to 'drive into.' I also thought that symmetry with the sunset in the background was pleasing.
Also, I have been playing with 'framing' the pictures as it seems to add a final finishing element to the picture. Do you think it adds to the overall effect, or is it distracting?
Tell me what you think. Anybody can took a good picture. I am trying to get a feel for what it takes to start taking great pictures.

Personally, I am a fan of the border/framing. I think that you really thought about how to compose the photograph, which, in my opinion, makes it totally work. I love what you did !
