OK, I will ask the obvious question. Why have you left the overall image so dark and underexposed? Why not brighten it and get the skin colour accurate in post?
edit: Not personal preference. I just know what is accepted as correct in portraiture.

really nice portraiture TT!
the skin looks good to me, and her eyes are great.
the only problem i have is that the tone of her hands really doesnt match her face, and her one finger looks very red... makes it a little distracting from an otherwise beautiful & simplistic photo. nicely shot!
**edit - i like the effect of the darkened exposure... i would not change it. personal preference.
edit: Tegan, thanks for bringing that to my attention!... to be honest, those things never occurred to me. ...
Kiley- thanks for the feedback!

Hi TT,
It's really quite hard to see the detail in the face with a 21k file. There's a lot of pixilization here.I find images look quite decent at 50 k and more.
The 2nd version is much better than the first.
I don't think the image really need the hands here, the gaze is strong enough.
All that said, I think it's a well done portrait and the eyes sing.
Hope that helps - M

so my resample-ing was a bit too sampled? LOL The funny thing is, that, the two objectives I had for that shoot were: correct exposure and a strong focus on the eyes. I obviously had to correct the exposure in pp and had to pop the eyes a bit as well. I still have a lot of work to do in this arena. Sigh. I am willing to pay my dues.
Tegan and Marko - your vast experience and tips are invaluable. I appreciate them so very, very much!!!! Kiley - I appreciate your artistic eye. You are so kind and gentle. A sweet heart.
