    Default Dragonfly

    Hi,

Just found this forum after listening to the podcast. Though I would start submitting some of my shot for critique as I would like to improve my skills.
This shot of the dragonfly was taken over 2 years ago but I though it might be a good one to start with.

I would personally take the white glow in the background out. I find it distracting. Love the subdued tones of the dragon fly and what it's on. And that is what I see top of my head that I would personally change.

Thanks for the feedback kat, I always liked this shot but knew it just wasn't quite right and the reflection is detracting from the subject.

Lots of fine detail in a very good macro shot. Like the catchlights in his eyes. The big white spot absolutely has to go though. The other thing is that it's a little too centered. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback, I have other shots without the reflection but the DOF isn't quite right and alot of the detail is fuzzy.
