"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
I really like it... I'm very confused though... is it a reflection or is it a picture of the ladder through the water? I seriously can't tell... LOL! Also, the water, its such a deep blue.. is this ooc or pp?
It's actually a ladder that goes into the water. The blues are deep and weird it's true but I haven't played with them...and I'm working on my buddie's laptop so things appear strange to me...now I'm looking at it on my laptop and it looks dull..arghh. Nothing beats working on your own computer (shrug)
thx

I think it's great! I wish the reflection of the pier support column could have been as straight as the ladder reflection. I'm sure after completing your retouching at home the image will sing.

I find that the composition works well, but the range in lighting and exposure is a little too extreme, especially the darkness at the bottom.

"Photographic art requires the technical aspects of photography and the design aspects of art, both at an outstanding level."
Thanks for the comments! - I'll work on this a bit more when I get back to my real computer.
Many thanks
