I like this shot baddness - not sure about the writing though, I might just make that phrase the title of the shot.

It does make an excellent Hallmark card the way it is though but judging it as a photograph, the writing is distracting to me. Although I still like the shot I also find the centrally located pole also a bit distracting. If it was possible I think I would have had the post more on the left side or eliminated altogether. (As a greeting card though with the writing - then I find it does work)

    Hope that makes sense,

From a design standpoint I think all the text should be made smaller and stay in the sky above the horizon. It should still stay on one side. The picture itself forms a great design grid that really should be followed because everything is so linear. It makes the points of interest... well, interesting. The picture is great though.

Instead of working with the photo the text almost destroys the good parts about it; the great horizon, the vertical line from the light... I would make the typeface smaller so that the hierarchy is a little closer between the boy and the text. The text is too heavy. Do you have a lighter but similar typeface?

The picture is great. I just think looking at that text in the top left sky in the image might be a good option, without even reducing it you might like it more.

I didn't even notice that the pole was in the centre until you pointed it out.
Guess I am blind lol. I took lots of shots but the others are with a slanty horizon. Got one leg shorter than the other

Now that you guys say about the writing, it does look a bit scrapbookie

    Thanks for the C & C

I like this photo better than the other one posted without the lamp post.. I like how he is looking out to sea where in the other one he was looking straight ahead and it was a little to tight on crop. Have you tried to clone out the lamppost in pp? I like the wording too... just maybe smaller more centered with a different font?

I was actually just looking at the photo and thinking that I should clone out the lamp post. I will give it a try later
