Would appreciate any critiques on this pic of Lyla. I took quite a few pics as it is a friend's boat (yeh I have boat envy) but find that the dark hull seems to blend in with the water. What can I do in post processing?

This is very nice actually. Apart from a slight sharpening it doesn't need too much at all.
I like the composition .... the boat has plenty of room to 'sail into' and the background has plenty of interest as well. Even a bonus contrail from a plane or alien landing!
If you have photoshop I'd use the shadow/highlights filter to make those adjustments. If not then burning in the midtones of the clouds would help and a slight dodge on the hull would help lighten it.
Having said that though I don't find the hull too dark on my monitor at all.
Nicely done... and a beautiful boat. Nice to see BC Ferries in the BG.
My niggle is that I would get rid of the dust spots.
