ehhh...
I don't know why we are here, but I'm pretty sure that it is not in order to enjoy ourselves.

It is not a camera for everyone. it has its niche but the new D500 looks pretty awesome. Cropped frame but with many of the features of the D5. Would love to have it as a second camera.

It's such a big heavy camera the D5 - The D500 looks good, pricey as well.

Nikon? Yeah,...them and the horse they rode into town on.
The first D300 was announced in 2007 and since then we've gotten one replacement for it in the form of the D300s that came two years later. Thats seven years without a replacement. How many D3xxx's, D5xxx's, and D7xxx's has Nikon blessed us with? Heck, less than six months after I bought a D800, they released the D810. They've built D600's, D610's, and D750's, but couldn't bring themselves to replace the D300s. They waited so freekin long, I guess they were too embarrassed to call it the D400 and stuck us with a D500 instead.
I know one thing for sure, it was more than long enough for me to look into ICLM in the meantime and I really like what I've seen so far.
Wake up and smell the coffee, Nikon.
