Lightroom 3 on sale

Every now and then, someone will be selling the full version of LR3 for 50%, (adobe will once or twice a year). This is a worthwhile investment. Sure, GIMP and picasa work ell, are free and integrate into either PC or Mac, getting LR3 (or "Aperture" if you absolutely have to have an Apple product (it is a great and inexpensive option!!)) is worth the investment.

LR3 currently on Amazon for $209

B&H has had it recently for $150. Sign up for their newsletter for alerts to sales of this and other products. Then look for the complete NikSoftware suite, usually $300, but you can get it for $200-$220 sometimes.

As a heads up. People who went on the Scott kelby Photo Walks (a few weeks ago) got a promo code to get Lightroom for $99. I assume this type of deal will be available next year as well so plan ahead.

If anyone works for an school board, or university etc. Adobe does education pricing. You can see their requirements here. I got LR3 for $89
