    Default Leica anyone?

Brought home some equipment my father used to own in Germany. Being the photographer he was, the took exceptional care of his equipment. I wonder what this stuff would be worth, if anyone would have an idea?

Leica R4 with Elmarit -R 28mm f2.8 (made in Germany), Summicron - R 50mm f2 (made in Canada) and 135mm Elmarit -R f2.8 (made in Canada); have German and English manuals for it as well ...

Minox 35 GT with Minox flash FC 35, with manuals, leather case and leather camera bag ...

Rollei B35 with leather camera bag .. this one has also a filter - says Rollei H1 on the filter, I assume it's a skylight filter.

Anyone have any idea on the value of those cameras? I'm curious, and eBay was not much help ...

The only camera of real value is the Leica. At least here in Europe. I recon you should be able to get at least €500 for a set like that. Although you might also reconsider keeping the camera and trying it out yourself. Not many people get a change to work with Leica gear. It's really nice stuff, hence the high price.

The Minox and Rollei aren't worth much. I'd say garage sale prices...

Nice Cameras, the Leica I think should go around $525.00 if in good shape but that is ball park and the Rollei B35 from what I know you are maybe looking at $350.00 also in good to great condition. You might get more because of the stuff for the Leica and the case for the Rollei might add $25 - $50. The other one I have no idea not even seen one to even give a guess. Of you could just donate them to a very worthwhile cause me lmaooooo ..... Nice cameras would be a good time to do some film work and then sell them. These are just guesstimates from what I remember as I am always on the lookout for old and antique cameras.

$350 for a Rollei B35? Are you sure about this? I've seen 'em go here for €10-€15...

I found this, they run the all sorts of prices, the one I saw sold in the box with original case, manual and nearly mint went for $350.00. The first one on this list is $250.00 USD and that was in 2003 so seems they are all over the place price wise and a lot depends on the condition.

I'm really tempted to buy one now and ship it across. :P I reckon I can get a mint one for €30 or something.

well thanks, guys. I think I will keep the Leica for now ... and the Rollei and Minox ... well, they are in mint shape. I used the Rollei from time to time, have not used the Minox. Actually, I kinda like the Minox. It's a neat camera ... and with a neat flash. Maybe some black and white stuff in the future for me? Who knows ...

    Was just curious....

Be careful! You might end up like me, collecting lots of old junk... ehm... classic old camera's.
