    Awesome!

    That really hasn't been my experience. Everyone I know gets cranky whenever I point the camera at them. Maybe I need to shower more often?

    Funny, I run into the same problem. I like to catch people candidly, and this makes it hard to get a great shot. So far I never had the nerve to ask someone to pose (but then again, I don't have a studio or a decent printer, either)

    That's because what you guys are doing is 100% different. Ernst is asking first. You don't legally need to ask but people will be way more receptive if you do. (sorry for the threadjack)
