Default A Black & White Foray

A few weeks back I flicked through some of my photos with an eye to converting some to black & white.

None of these were taken with B&W in mind. Not surprising as I'm not particularly passionate about B&W but do appreciate a good B&W shot.

Anyhow ... I've decided to whack a bunch up and see if any appeal to anybody.

Wow MA, these look great to me. But B&W is not my forte either.

If *any* appeal? They *all* appeal!

Post#2, Shot#2 is the most appealing because the stark landscape just screams B&W. Gives it a real desolate feel.

    Great set.

Love these MA....They work well in BW....I especially am drawn to the tree and thelandscape image and the castle as looking from below it. I love how BW enhances the cloud detail.
I find I am starting to convert to BW more and more frequently these days as for me it can hide things I don't want seen (like distracting Backgrounds) and enhance things I do (such as texture and cloud detail)...kind of like wearing a little black dress...

seriously they all work but some really stand out for me:

WOW MA and many of these do appeal in BW

here's the ones i really like
    - Post 1 shot 3 (trees)
    - Post 2 shots 1, 2, and 3
    - Post 3 shot 1 is a gorgeous and classic beauty of VERY VERY high quality and it will be nominated in 5 minutes.

If you would talk about your conversion strategy, I know many members would appreciate that.

    Thx
