Just a quick shot in the yard with the following:

Nice work, edG. That Ilford film has wonderful tones and a super tight grain. There's no mistaking this one, but I sometimes found myself wondering if some of your shots were done with Kodak BW 400CN.

Cheers Barefoot, I mostly use Ilford for my B&W film - I have only shot one roll of Kodak BW400CN and one roll of Fuji Acros (find both to have more contrast than Ilford, not a bad thing just seem to default to Ilford at the time of purchase). What is most likely happening or your seeing- is the contrast is being boosted by my use of the Clarity slider in Lr 4.1 (normally I just tweak the exposure settings and bump the clarity if I am trying to bring out textures/surfaces in the subject).

Maybe you've mentioned it before, but are you working in your own darkroom or having them processed for you and if its the latter, which lab are you using? I have several rolls of TMax 100 that I would like to have done.

My set-up is kind of an evolving hybrid.

I develop all my B&W film ( 35mm, 120/220 and 4x5) in my psuedo darkroom ( a second bathroom off the family room soon to be renovated).

All 35mm colour film is taken to the local Walmart for development in their machine, medium format has to be taken to a pro lab for machine development about 40 miles away in Burlington and 4x5 (large format) colour would have to be sent to Toronto (75 miles away).

I am able to scan both 35mm and 120/220 negatives on my Canoscan 9000F (both B&W and Colour) and then import the TIFF file into Lr 4.1 or stay analogue -print the b&w negative on my Omega D2 enlarger.

Large format, I have to print the negative (usually an 8X10 on the Omega D2 or a contact print) - then scan the print and work on it from there in the computer or stay old school and re-do the print (dodge and burn by hand) until I like what I get.

Thanks Matt, Marko and asnow, I was rather pleased with the results as the F2A and the Nikkor Q f3.5 135mm are recent acquisitions.
