    that oil look on what seems to be a back drop. is that a filter or a back drop?

    It is actually a texture that I added in photoshop. After converting it to the tones used here, I added the texture, then using a layer mask, I 'painted out' the texture on the tulip itself...
    Keep an eye on that 'Tools of the Trade' project thread in the assignments forum...I try to add new pictures often!
