    I really want to like this, great subject matter, like the toning and composition. The feather background is genius. However I think the DOF is a bit too short, my eyes are drawn to the OOF handle of the reel/spool thing, and the flies seem a little soft (I guess that could just be a side-effect of furry flies).

    Cool still life shot Edg! I like the slight sepia tone for this too.

    Tim - absolutely agree with you on the DoF, could not use the lens I wanted due to space restrictions and I was too lazy to set up the speedlights - so mea culpa
