Default Vintage Circuit Camera 1924 Panoramic Photograph

I just recently joined the forum to show off my purchase.

A little about myself. I am an avid LSU collector. I have a large collection of LSU items, and this is my most recent purchase.

For you non-sports fans, the LSU Tigers play here in Baton Rouge, in historic Tiger Stadium. This original photograph, shot with a circuit camera and measures 6"x44", was shot at the first game ever played in Tiger Stadium, 1924.

I was able to track down the owner of the copyright of the image(his grandfather shot it), and he has given me written permission to reproduce and sell.

I actually love photography and took B&W in college (LSU of course). Later,I will post some of my shots from my modern digital camera, but they are nothing great.

This image is a fake, placed together from 5 photos I took of the original, and a photoshop expert placed it together for me.

Sorry for the size, but its the only way it will fit (and it still doesn't show some of the great details of the original image)

It took over a month, but I finally got it back. It took so long because we are reproducing it and they wanted to shoot it several times before framing it.

Very cool, love old photos and appreciate anyone who prints them to hang them. Just something that was meant to be seen as an actual photo not on a computer monitor, must look really awesome in print, good work.

My copy you see in the frame is not printed from a computer, it is the original print from 1924 (maybe the only print). The man that owns the copyright of the image had never seen it. It is a miracle it had survived over 90 years. It was rolled up so tight, it damaged the print. It is cracked in one place and sun faded on both ends. The guy I bought it from stored it in his kitchen cabinet. He didn't know it was the first game in Tiger Stadium. I paid $1700 for the print. I have already been offered double that much. I since had it chemically washed to remove all acid and had it framed on this acid free matting. I have hired a professional art dealer to reproduce it and hired a man that holds an LSU license so it can be sold as an LSU item. We are going to make 500 prints and I will make $26 a print.
