This is a discussion on B+W Clematis within the Black and White - Monochrome/Monotone - photography forum forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; Nice shot. I like Bambi's one very much as well. Here's one of mine: Together...
Love that daisy shot. They're such a nice flower to do in B+W, so minimalistic. Here's one I did:

Nice shot, Tim. I like the way you've isolated those two. Well done!
Also a nice shot, Cindi. I like your sense of "joining the party" but please be careful you don't "hijack" someone else's thread.
Iggy, I don't think you have read far enough back here. This is Cindi's thread.
Ok, I will join the fray with these back lit gerberra daisies. The original clematis is really very nice. I love those flowers!
Nice take on the gerbera, JAS; I never noticed their hairy stems before. Beautiful use of backlighting, and nice example on how B+W can make us see something new in something common.
Iquanasan, I'm Canadian, we're very polite, I would never hijack on purpose. I figured you must have thought someone else started this thread; I'm just happy to see this is a well-moderated forum. I hate when forums get messy. :-)
BTW, as an ex-kindergarten teacher I can never resist a Dr. Suess quote. LOL

Really lovely b/w-shots here. Without much colours the eye focus seems to get a better way to "view" a picture. Here is my version:
Lovely shot Cindi, love the detail, and thanks to your invite, getting to see many more lovely B&W flora. Good job everyone.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Moinmoin, exquisite sharpness and details!!
Hillbilygirl, I'm enjoying the shots a lot, myself! :-D
