    Default An ancient Stele

    Hellooo!
This is one of stelae (23m) from an ancient Axumite civialization (1700 years old) in this country.

Obvioulsy, there are several photos of these stelae taken by many but none to my liking except very few. Many of the pictures I see are in color and the cloudless sky behind looks like a blue backdrop. I thought these would be better as a BW. Especially, since the stele is already a grayscale which simplified the conversion to BW.

This is a really nice conversion, with interesting composition and good tones and sharpness. Very nicely seen and captured!

oh now that's a tease. I'd love to see this in a triptych with a close up and a shot of it in situ with the landscape around. very powerful.

Cool capture. How big is this? Is it the 23m that indicate in your description?
