So I finally got myself to a very accessible and thus very popular waterfall called Lower Purgatory Falls. There are 3 falls on Purgatory brook, but I've only seen Upper and Lower and only photographed Lower successfully. From what I've heard the Middle falls are the biggest pain, but also the most interesting, so I think I'll have to try for those sometime.
Anyway, this is from today before the sun crested the trees -

at times other than winter, where I stood for the second one is a runoff waterfall that, because it's slow, freezes solid. I didn't dare venture too far out on the ice cap because I saw where someone else already fell through. There was once a mill here, but I couldn't photograph the remnants well today.
