Very nice portrait as usual Ernst!
A very unconventional composition - Dig it!

"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
Hmmm... this one throws me a bit. It is a very well done portrait but I guess I've watched to many Schwarzenegger movies as I expect the next move to be to violently twist the head thereby breaking his neck and killing him.
hehehe For me it's a loving touch from his wife. ;-)
I like the unconventioal comp as well
" A good photograph is one that communicates a fact, touches the heart and leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it. " Irving Penn
" There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs." - Ansel Adams
I love this unusual comp as well. Great portrait as usual Ernst.
Hmmm, not sure if I like it, EUS; is the face the main focus or the hand with the ring? This image could be bisected ... there are actually two images here, when I keep looking at it ... confuses me ... but then again, why always go with the rule of thirds?

Thanks everyone for your time and comments. Ya, it's alittle different from most as to portraiture. They came to my studio because of my style, they loved the portrait and purchased a 16X16 Canvas and I have $300 in the bank plus some. ;-) I've been doing the happy dance ever since, not really because of the money but because they are buying me and my art. Wahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
