    Default Perseverance

This photo is sort of special to me...I saw it today and it jumped out at me. I thought of all the people I have seen over the last month in my last practicum at the hospital. People who are trying to rebuild their lives after brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, MS etc. etc.....the list goes on and on.
Whatever the affliction, the perseverance of these people daily as they try to rebuild their lives and bodies from the ground up after a devastating injury is humbling and inspiring.
This is what I thought of when I took this photo.

Bravo! Bravo! On many levels. One for your compassion and empathy the other for managing to capture such a striking image with so little actually in the image. Maybe it was the text that went along with it but I find this capture very moving. Well done!

Actually it is a huge archway with 3 statues (6 in total) on either side of it trying to hold the arch in place. I just really liked the one aspect of it with just the 2 hands and the shadows of the person...represented struggle and perseverance to me.
Either way I am really happy with how it turned out considering what I've seen over the last month and what I've experienced personally over the last 2 years trying to rebuild my life also.
