This is a discussion on 9^10 within the Black and White - Monochrome/Monotone - photography forum forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; Something about this made me photograph it. Normally, I would keep it to myself but here is in all its ...
That works for sure. I like the extreme composition of placing the ute (means Utility in Aussie ... pickup truck to you Nth Americans) to the far left of shot leaving 'room' for the patterns to become striking.
The patterns are really cool. I can see what led you to take it. Most people would walk by without noticing.
striking portrayal of the quotidian. not an easy feat.
thanks WD for the new word (had to look it up).

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
Don't you love learning new words? I read so much that it doesn't happen often, but when an author makes me reach for the dictionary they get extra points.
I too am very fond of words...and this image.
really like the comp here - good eye seeing the 'shapes' that make up this cool shot.

"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
I like this image. At first glance it does seem (to use WDs word which I had to look up the meaning) quotidian. But then you eye see the interesting pattern and then the additional meaning of who is missing in spots 9 and 10.
Thanks all!
Nice work! ...... The composition makes something ordinary , look extraordinary .
