Waiting for Daedalus

This is a discussion on Waiting for Daedalus within the Architecture & Man Made (cities, buildings, roads, objects & abstracts) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; I took this while waiting for my takeout sushi order. I have always been a huge fan of this sculpture ...

    Default Waiting for Daedalus

I took this while waiting for my takeout sushi order. I have always been a huge fan of this sculpture and they removed the tree in the background that made it so tough to shoot last year.

I think I will go back and tackle it again soon...it reminds me of strength when I capture it....dunno why but it will end up on my wall one of these days when I get the right version of it.

hm. Interesting work. It looks great with a stormy sky. Is the title of the thread the name of the sculpture & is that the entirety of it?

There's a whole other wing side to it but it is more effective, strong and powerful as a single.....lol....kind of like me ...
That is probably why I like it so much!

    Love the Daedalus story.
The right side reminds me of an Indian Chief's head or an eagle - both strong symbols.

    Nicely captured for sure!

an ultra wide angle, low viewpoint image would be interesting.
and yeah, the Daedalus story is a good one.
