It's been an extended weekend in the uk (bank holiday Monday wahooo) so despite it raining on and off all weekend I got a chance to go out on Monday and try some more HDR.

The photographers were definitely out in force, mostly with their suffering family's, which is a fascinating thing to watch.

What a neat old building. And what an ominous looking sky! Looks like the HDR was the way to go.

Here is the brief history..

The garden was developed by James Batemen (1811-1897) and his artist friend Edward William Cooke, with the intention of showing off Batemans extensive plant collection.

The original house burnt down in 1896 and was then rebuilt. In 1927 it was stripped out and turned into a Children's Hospital in the mid 1980's it expanded to accept adults. The 15 acre gardens became badly run down in this period. In 1988 the national trust took owner ship of the property and began restoring the gardens to their former glory.

And yes I was a photographer out with my suffering family, although I limited myself to one lens, one memory card and thirty shots.
