I like this...with the TA it reminds me of an oil painting on canvas..and the comp is spot on.

I like this too, great shot! Was this shot when you neglected to do the pre flight check list and the ISO was ramped? Forgive me Bambi for not remembering maybe but are you not shooting with a d5000? I'm seeing a very uniform noise almost grid like? As I said...It's a great shot. I know this is not the critiques forum but I'm curios from a purely tech standpoint. What was the ISO here? I guess it could be the new glasses I got today after sitting on my other pair
yes it was when I was an idiot and was blithely snapping away without double checking my settings. ISO 1600
What I did to 'sort' the noise was use a painter .effect and a canvas texture. I can post the original if you like. Maybe it could be a challenge: "how would you fix this?".
Either way I'm glad you like it.
I'm thinking I'll crop about an inch from the bottom

Lovely texture and colour here! Love the photo overall and if you had not said anything, I would have just thought you were following in jimmy's footsteps!
Nice shot Bambi, and nice save with the JJJ effect. I am with you on cropping some off foreground though.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
