Default For MA: Going really, really fast

These pictures were taken with my old Powershot A10, because it was a camera my husband was sure he could use, and it would fit in his pocket. He gave JC (the pilot) two ground rules:
    1) "Don't kill us"
    2) "Don't do anything that would get us immediately arrested as soon as we land"

JC did his best to oblige.

Still on the ground, with a nice view of air and the gun sight between the prop tips.

    Oh awesome!!! That's seriously cool!!

A 250 mph turn at only 2000 revs ... she's got a loooong stroke huh? The plane Mike ... not the wife. Well ... she might too ... I wouldn't know!! Apparently she does rev up quick though

Hey ... on the back of the pilots helmet ... it looks like a graphic of an old Vulcan fighter. They were English though so I'm guessing it's something else?

Is the pilot looking for something he dropped in that first shot or did Q1 slap him upsaahde hees hayed!?
Love the gunsight! Can we put a bank in that and squeeze off a few rounds

The power setting 2000 rpm and 30" manifold pressure gives an "economical" cruise of 210mph and 50 gallons per hour.
On the back of JC's helmet is the outline of a P-40 and a Lockheed P-38 Lightening.
In the first picture the pilot has not entered the plane yet (the back seat "driver" must board first). The rounded object in that shot is the top of the helmet resting on the control stick.
We have other pictures from this flight but their technical quality is about the same as these. QuietOne says let her know if you want her to post them.

Well if the other shots don't show anything different I guess it's not worth your while Q1.

A P38 ... totally forgot anout them. All I could think of was the Vulcan bomber ... a pommie jet.

I don't have a picture of a Vulcan, but I think I have some of a Vampyre floating around somewhere. I've got pictures of all sorts of planes from various airshows. I'll go back through them, maybe this weekend, and post some of the more interesting ones.

My parents used to tell me how I'd cry when the Vampires flew over home when I was about 2 years old

Hmmm ... it might be the Vampires I was thinking of when I mentioned Vulcan's now

Always loved planes but have never been an expert.

Still love planes. Still not an expert. But I don't cry anymore
