FireWorks in the Rain
this image really works for me. I love the focus on the sign and the background compliments it nicely!
Feel free to make comments on any of my shots

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
Thanks! This is the best version I've done so far. I see it on the way to my bus stop just about every day and I've tried a few shots of it before but haven't been happy with them. Go figure I should have tried it in the rain
Thank you, Richard.
Question for you Iguanasan, have you tried shooting this from a distance with a telephoto lens? I find the flattened perspective and shallower DoF very useful for this kind of image (one with a busy background). It also might give you options as to framing that aren't available when you're right up on it. Just some ideas for you to try out seeing as you go by this sign frequently.
Not yet. All I have is a 18-55m kit lens and a 50mm prime. Next purchase is a 70-200 or 70-300 but I have some saving to do
eek. Sometimes I forget not everyone has been doing this as long as I have. At any rate, it's an idea for when you do get some long glass.
