A while ago I took this first shot. It has been the pinnacle of what I have been trying to accomplish through photography. I have been striving to accomplish a shot like this again. Although I have been pretty unsuccessful in doing so, I decided to create another version of the image.

I much prefer the second shot. There is a personal message in each image but it is up to you to decide what that is. A message intended by the creator of each piece of art, but the interpretation is left to the viewer. I would like to hear what you have to say about the image itself and also what message you take from the image. Thanks for taking a look.

I like the first one. Even though the 2nd is a more real photograph, I thin kthe post processing is what gave the other shot it's wow factor. It really is a good piece of work.

My interpretation...Is bumpy! with the exception of the Olympic type coin I see pre Jekyll island coins, that is to say before the gold standard was dropped in favor of placing Americas future in the hands of corporate bankers and their Fiat currency. I see the value of their cash in this image. I am of course a doom and gloomer in my outlook of the US economy, self confessed. The paper money is useless, always was as it's backed by nothing and can be printed on a whim. You should sen this to Ben Bernanke

I agree with you Michael. It is hard to explain in a limited text, but many have said money is the root of all evil. I would like to agree with that, however, removing money from the equation of life is impossible. Therefore, those who have money and are generous with it, are just that much more honorable. The bankers and the wall street types you speak of are in my opinion, the type of people that I have always aspired not to be. Ive always been told what goes around comes around, and that if you want to live, you must be a productive member of society. What do banks and wall street investors really produce? My answer, inflation and a false sense of income. What are the fruits of their labor? More money in their pocket? Doesnt seem to help anyone but themselves if you ask me. Not very productive, the direct parallel of a parasite in the animal world. Sorry if I may have offended anyone here. It is a subject that touches way to close to home, which is why I have ended up creating images like these.

Two of the biggest problems we face...Complacency and greed! Fuel that with fear and you're off to the races. Why more people don't get the central bank thing is dumbfounding Like you said though..."What goes around, comes around" Cause and effect, every action having an equal and opposite reaction. I don't believe the dollar will be with us much longer, If it does remain, it will be with much less dignity or illusion of... You captured this well for me in both presentations

I like the first image the best as well.

I believe the actual saying attributed to Jesus in the New Testament is, "The love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:10, KJV)

You're right, many have said it. But when taken from its source, it reads "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." -1 Timothy 6:10

Didn't mean to go scriptural on you, but I hate to see it mis-quoted as it so often is. Money in itself couldn't possibly be evil, but the love of it surely could be.

I was very fortunate enough to get the first image as my swap with JJ...I love it and it looks even better as a photograph!
Just a thought......I really like #2 also...I would almost throw in a Canadian loonie as another coin...a cheeky play on the title...might give a bit of a different perspective of the shot also to our American friends.
But then again that's just me....
I quite like it otherwise!

Thanks Casil. I do have plenty of other foreign currencies. I like that thought. I will put something like that together and share it.
