    Default Raku to you two

Casil's Ralu post reminded me that I have a couple of Raku items hanging around the house. I used the one that didn't require a ladder.

As I was twisting the vase in different directions, I saw something in one of the photographs that was not visible to the eye. The word "Happy". Now I have some light I will try to get a better shot of that.

This shot is a too blurry around the bottom edge, but I couldn't get high enough or at the right angle. Just playing around and learning.

It is a firing/glazing technique for pottery. I keep my eye out for raku when I travel - not always easy to find. It looks all blurry, but I think I see a story in the bowl. But. it was through photographing it that I discovered the images.

    Thanks Casil,

Your piece is lovely as well. Here is a link to her website. My bowl ( or some reincarnation of it) is pictured there.
