    not sure why i like this image so much, but it's one of my favorites. for some reason, the combination of the clouds, the sun, the reflection on the water, and that empty chair seems to produce a very wistful, almost melancholy feeling as of something precious lost, or waiting for something that will never return...

    It is a nice shot. I like the other one with the fisherman (before he needed to 'siphon the python') you posted a few days back better though

    thanks, Bambi and MA...

    MA, the two evoke different feelings, to me at least... "Solitude" is a shot that creates a sense of contemplation, isolation, perhaps even loneliness. this one brings to mind more of a feeling of wistful remembrance, or perhaps yearning, for something or someone that's no longer there.

    but that's the neat thing about art, isn't it? everyone sees and reacts to it differently...

    that's true. You see a lost memory, I see a lovely memory and MA, well he sees a guy taking a leak!!

    Of course I'd have just fired it off the side of the jetty ... but that's me ... I'm not a Canadian fisherman
