No longer akimbo. Better? Worse? Or just different?
This is a discussion on Another View of St. Paul's within the Architecture & Man Made (cities, buildings, roads, objects & abstracts) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; No longer akimbo. Better? Worse? Or just different?...
No longer akimbo. Better? Worse? Or just different?
For some reason the original lean never bothered me. It seemed to convey a greater sense of height than this one does. Perhaps this is more how our mind sees it whereas our eye sees it more like the first shot?
I like both versions.
The light on the second shot is better for sure! The leveling is better but I think you went a hint too far. The Spire (which is what my eye wants to see level) now leans maybe half a degree to 1 degree to the left. Still, I prefer this second shot!
