Took the camera and tripod to school this morning to catch this:
Noticed it earlier this week and I was hoping for another day to catch the sun on the buildings...I will try again on the next sunny day to see if i can get it a bit sharper.

casil - i love the light on the buildings!
i know this is not in the critque thread, but since you mentioned that you are planning on another shoot, i wanted to suggest something. to me, it seems as if the photo is a stop or so overexposed - lending the grey tint to the image. then again, if no one else who has a calibrated monitor sees it, i could just be seeing it wrong with my calibrated monitor. - my pre calibrated monitor would have shown this image beautifully. hope i am wrong!!!
Looks pretty sharp from where I sit. Wait 'till one of those cold and frosty morning you'll have soon enough.
Anyway, nice capture.
Thanks TT and BF...Thanks TT too for the suggestion....TT I took a whole bunch of shots at different exposures but this seemed to catch the very best light on the buildings. I had the setting on bulb and just counted off 1-3 seconds. 2 seconds seemed to have yielded the best results form the lot of shots I took.
The buldings just looked like they were on fire the other day when I noticed it at the train station and I wanted badly to catch it again!
I will also try again when the snow flies soon enough. Weather says more sun tomorrow so i will go back.

Hmm...I think I'd put that puppy in manual, set the aperture at somewhere between f/8 and f/16, check the meter and underexpose by a third to a full stop. Maybe even a little more if I was still seeing blown highlights.
But, that's just me.
I will give it a go...thanks for the suggestions...
