Shot with my 6 MP K100D and a two-bit manual focus lens called Sakar
This is a discussion on Church Shot I like within the Architecture & Man Made (cities, buildings, roads, objects & abstracts) forums, part of the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) category; Shot with my 6 MP K100D and a two-bit manual focus lens called Sakar...

Maybe it's just my internet but I don't see any shot..

This is a great capture. I like this one. I would have liked seeing more building and less (or no) light fixtures though.
Kat- sorry about that I realized I posted the wrong shot and you probably viewed while I was editing my post.
Iguanasan- If it's more church and less lighting fixtures you like, I have some of those from that trip too. The reason I liked this one is because of the lanterns/foreground element. It's just personal taste, I guess. I also like the few flowers dangling into the frame from the top. There were actually a bit more that got cropped out when I straightened out orientation.
It's a beautiful cathedral but there's so many other tall-ish buildings and trees etc in the way it was hard to get a good angle unless I was up close with a fairly wide angle. Then so many of my shots suffered from exaggerated perspective as a result.
Or if I was downtown without my wide angle lens I would only get portions of the huge building without getting other buildings, trees, and/or people in the frame. Like this shot.

Lovely lines! It's amazing the work they put into these buildings!!!! Where you able to get some inside?

I think it may be personal taste but if you are going to do architecture then I like to see the building more!
I like the second shot quite a bit.
Architecture might make a great podcast. I always have trouble with people, angles, etc., etc.
well maybe a shot with people in it is always a portrait, and...ahh forget it.
Anyhoo, yes Kat I was lucky enough to be let inside for a little while. Here's a few quick examples. I haven't decided if I want to attempt any perspective correction to these yet. Any thoughts?
