Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!
Nothing is the same as it used to be

We have so many streets like this here in Toledo. All the roads used to be railcar paths. The rest of the streets and alleys were all brick. Many decades ago, the city though it would be good to lay asphalt over the bricks. Well, lets just say the bricks are now serving their purpose again.

We have roughly 400,000 in the city and its metropolitan area. Not a major city by any means, but its sounds like its a bigger than what the rest of you are used to.

Brisbane's population was about 1.8 million last I heard ... thankfully I live on the outskirts but I have to travel into the city centre for work mostly.
ok these are the last four of this thread. The homeless guy never showed up. I would have gone to his house, but....... Anyways, Instead of wasting the day I just drove around the city for a bit scoping out some other places to go. This time through the historic residential neighborhoods. They are usually avoided by logical thinking individuals as burgleries, muggings, and drug deals frequent the areas. As long as you dont park your car and wander around aimlessly you will be ok, so I took these from inside the car. I love the area and the houses are beautiful. There is a place in town called millionaires row, where all the millionaires in Toledo lived in the 20's, 30's and 40's. The neighborhood there is a little better and I plan on heading there soon.

I'm leaning toward the 1st one in that last series JJ. If that house had a forest behind it the photo would be a winner for me for sure. Love that big shadow of the tree.
